Heat of the Summer Sun

Despite all the heat, the market still goes on. Ways to beat the heat...

1. Think about cooler weather and transforming your fresh produce into preserves. Cucumbers to pickles? How about peaches to jam, for those cold winter mornings that need some brightening...

2. Enjoy the sweet sounds of Queen Earth at the market, or in your own home year round, with her cd.

3. Stop by and hangout with the kids from BUGS, they can help educate you on what they are growing down in Harbor East.

4. Find a picnic table in the shade and enjoy the company of your family and friends, while you try to forget how hot it really is, and enjoy some farm fresh dinner fare.

First Market Excitement

The first market of the season kicked off with a roaring success. If you missed some of the excitement, don't worry you still have 20 more weeks to marvel in the market thrill!

Some highlights from this past weeks market include...

Heavenly ice cream provided by Prigel Family Creamery. Which was your favorite flavor?

Zahradka Family Farm provided shoppers with beets, greens, onions, summer squash, and an assortment of other delicious veggies.

Queen Earth serenaded us with her beautiful singing.

And among our many new vendors, we welcomed The Green Crocodile to our market community. The Green Crocodile provided a great craft area for kids, as well as other fun children's activities. They are your one stop shop for tutus for every occasion, and superhero capes to make any child (or want to be child) capable in having any power! Stop by their booth, and your wishes may just be granted!

Welcome to The Green Crocodile!

Stay tuned each week for exciting market happenings, information about our new and returning vendors, and highlights from the previous weeks festivities.

Hope to see you tomorrow, June 12th from 4pm-8pm!
