For the love of neighborhoods

What does a neighborhood mean to you?

Perhaps it is the strong community base or the support for small businesses. Maybe it is the comfort in knowing that you can borrow a cup of sugar from your neighbors, or that your favorite community event is right around the corner. It could be the short conversation that you have with your bank teller, or the hours that you've help spend tending your neighborhood garden.

Live Baltimore stopped by the market last Tuesday to ask market goers and neighborhood residents to show their love for their respective neighborhoods. Each week we will share with you some of that love through the photos taken during the event.

Last week, we also had a special visit from Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake. Among her stops at the market, she visited with the kids from the BUGS (Baltimore Urban Gardening with Students) program to learn more about what they are growing and making at their Caroline Street location at the Living Classrooms Foundation

Stop by the market today to stock up on 4th of July celebratory fruits and vegetables!
